UNI EN ISO 22005 – 2008 – Traceability in the food chain
The traceability system goes a long way to ensuring the safety of the food product. This certification is an essential aid, not only for meeting the requirements in force, but also for promoting particular product characteristics, such as origin/territoriality and the peculiar characteristics of the ingredients, and so meeting the customers’ expectations, including both the mass retail chains and the end consumer.

BRC IFC – Global Standard for Food Safety
The BRC (British Retail Consortium) is a specific global standard designed to guarantee the safety of agro-food products. The objective of the standard is to lay down conditions which ensure that the suppliers and retailers in the mass retail market are able to guarantee the quality and safety of the food products they offer to consumers.
IFS – International Food Standards
The International Food Standard (IFS) is an international standard based on a shared evaluation method for qualifying and selecting food product suppliers. It allows the mass retail market to guarantee the quality and safety of the products it sells and to monitor the quality level of the products offered under its own label.
IFS meets the criteria of the Global Food Safety Initiative established by CIES – The Food Business Forum, the global organisation which includes the CEOs and other top management figures of almost 400 retailers (with almost 200,000 points of sale) and producers of all shapes and sizes.
